At Work
During my many trips and stays around the world, I observed people at work, in shops and in the streets. I took numerous photos and recently decided to paint some of these scenes.

Edi Grill
This is the first oil from this collection I painted since I opened L'Atelier 2.0. Edi Grill is managed by family members of my tribe. The best place in Fushë Kosovë for macchiato, Qebap and family cuisine. There is not a day in Kosovo without visiting them. The oil shows Agron, Agim, Redon and Rema in action and even Rizah's hat is on the table.

Liberian girl
When working in Liberia in 2014-15 I lived in the Andalucia compound by the ocean. Hawa was selling delicious fresh fruits and vegetables at the corner of my street and the main road to Monrovia. Her smile and sense of humour during the terrible Ebola epidemic is still with me.

Chenda the entrepreneur
Chenda a single mother raising her son by coping with several jobs at once while studying management. She took care of my house and cooked for me during all my time in Cambodia, always her mobile phone in one hand. We had tons of laughter. When coming home and seeing this oil for the first time, she stopped and said with a big smile: "Sister, it's me!".

Day workers Rwanda
While working for the Appeals Chambers of the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda Tribunals I had no opportunity to go to Rwanda because hearings were taking place in Arusha, Tanzania. With help from my friend and colleague Pierre I went to Rwanda with another friend Danielle. The idea was to visit the many places where the cases I worked on took place. I discovered so much more, including the people of Rwanda. This oil, painted in Kosovo, is inspired by a photo I took during a day trip from Kigali to Butare. As we were waiting for the bus, women, men and children were already at work transporting goods.
