Normandy & Brittany inspired

The collection started when I was a judge in charge of juveniles in the Peninsula of Cotentin in Normandy. It continued as I moved to work on international crimes around the world and was going back whenever possible to my haven of peace there in front of the islands of Jersey and Guernsey and travelled to nearby Brittany. The Collection includes oils and watercolours of Rouen, Sein Island, family and seaside scenes, gardens and bouquets.

Sea View at Regneville

Oil painted during the summer 2025. it shows a view of the sea at Règneville sur Mer. Tall yellow herbs are in the front and in the background stranded boats at low tide.

Cows Chausey

Palais de Justice, Rouen

I painted this view of the Palais de Justice of Rouen while serving as a judge in Coutances. It is inspired by 19th century paintings.

Hélène's Garden: La Poule

This oil shows a hen walking freely in the Garden of our friends Hélène and Pierre in our Hamlet Le Grand Haut d'Y in Créances.

Nana's Garden

This oil shows Nana, my mother's oldest friend in Créances, where she had a beautiful garden in which plants and flowers grew effortlessly.

This oil is my first attempt at painting poultry.

This oil is showing our beloved Dune sitting on a chaise longue.

Ginger's beach

This oil shows our favourite beach, Pointe du Bequet. We renamed after Ginger started barking at any newcomer as if the beach was her own!
