Autumn has come!
Autumn has come in Chausey and cows graze peacefully by the sea.
Jardin de curé
This oil shows an imaginary jardin de curé.
I started it during one summer and for some reason was unfinished until my brother Patrick and his wife Arletty fell in love with it. It is now in their house in the Center region of France.
La Boulangerie
I painted this oil during the summer of 2025 in Normandy. This is a view of La Boulangerie, in part of the garden of my friends Hélène and Pierre in Le Haut d'Y hamlet. The painting is now in their house.
Nana's Garden
Nana was my mother's oldest friend in the village of Creances, where we settled in 1982. Her "jardin de curé" was always a source of discovery. When I made this painting she was already in her 90's.
Hélène's Garden: La poule
This oil shows a view of my friend's garden in a small village of Cotentin, located by the coast facing Jersey and Guernsey islands.
Michelle's Garden in Sarajevo
I painted this oil during my time in Bosnia & Herzegovina in the late 90's. It was the view from my friend Michelle's house in Sarajevo.

Cambodian scenery
I painted this oil during my time in Phnom Penh. While working during the week at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal I explored the Cambodian countryside during my free time. In order to best represent the bright colours of nature I diluted the oils more than usual, almost like watercolours.
